Cubby Cap

This is absolutely unique and its inception was driven by two incidents which highlighted the need for this type of protective plug.

Firstly an operative picked up a Scaffold Tube whilst dismantling a job at high level on a major industrial site and a number of Spent Welding Rods shot out and fell to the ground, narrowly missing men working below.

Secondly a Scaffolder was unloading some new cut Tube manually when a burred end caused lacerations to his thumb whilst picking up the Tube.

Both these incidents would have been avoided if the Tubes had been ‘CUBBY CAPPED’. The first incident in particular could have had very serious consequences.

More and more of the major industrial sites, oil and gas, petrochemical and construction are now insisting of the use of ‘CUBBY CAPS’. This is being driven by the Health and Safety managers.
