TONY DUNPHY. 1947 – 2010. R.I.P.
It is with great sadness that we announce the death in service of Tony Dunphy following a short illness. Our very own”Mr RMD” Tony was an exemplary and inspirational character who will be very sadly missed by both customers and fellow staff alike at George Roberts.
Tony had a quiet, friendly, courteous manner and his outstanding ability to help people in the most frantic times – offering calm and reason – made Tony a pleasure to work alongside.
Tony spent his last weeks in palliative care with the Marie Curie Hospice whose nursing and devotion were quite frankly beyond words! If ever you have a spare pound or two it couldn’t be better spent. On behalf of ALL at George Roberts please accept a huge thank you.
The funeral arrangements are as follows:
Our Lady’s Church
Eldon Street
Liverpool Church Service at 10.30 Tuesday 30th November.
Followed by:
Cremation at 11.30 at ANFIELD Crematorium.
236 Priory Road
Liverpool L4 2SL
Tony’s family has extended invitations to all those who knew him that they are more than welcome to attend these services should they wish and for refreshments later.
From the entire staff at George Roberts ( Bud as he called his work colleagues ) we extend our sincere sympathy to Tony’s family in their time of sorrow.
“Tony, it was a great pleasure to both work alongside and to have known you – a true gentleman !”
God Bless and Rest In Peace.
