Due to pressure from the UK Major Contractors Group, Major Petrochemical Sites and the H.S.E, there has been a strong increase in demand for a thicker more substantial Base Plate which complys to a specific standard. We therefore offer ex-stock a Base Plate complying to BS1139 which is 5mm thick with a spigot. We also offer the very latest European standard EN74 Base Plate, again 5mm thick with a continuous 50mm spigot with a minimum 23mm diameter.
Within the next 4 weeks all the thicker top of the range Base Plate will be to the EN74 standard.
Despite the increased drive for quality we still have some clients prefering the economy base plate, again these are ex-stock.
